Welcome to Morningside

Beloved as one of the friendliest neighborhoods in Atlanta, Morningside Park is a thriving neighborhood set amongst lovely architecture and outdoor spaces. Home to young professionals, families and retirees alike, the tight-knit vibe like the Morningside Monumental Ball and the Morningside Association’s Celebration of Summer, a large family event held at the end of each school year.

Situated west of Ansley Park and north of Virginia-Highland, natural beauty abounds in Morningside thanks to large nature preserves and plentiful neighborhood parks. Homes here include both historic and new construction with Tudor, Craftsman and Victorian influences, plus upscale condominiums and townhomes.

Known for its walkability, Morningside boasts wide sidewalks and great access to local dining and shopping along North Highland Avenue. The Eastside Trail connects the neighborhood to the exciting BeltLine.

Neighborhood Highlights

  • Lush outdoor space in Morningside is abundant and diverse. The 40-acre Daniel Johnson Nature Preserve/Herbert Taylor Park and 75-acre Morningside Nature Preserve provide creekside hiking trails and forest surroundings. The neighborhood’s central Lenox-Wildwood Park/Sunken Garden Park includes picnic areas, tennis courts and a playground. There are several smaller parks throughout the area, plus easy access to Piedmont Park, 189 acres of greenspace, considered to be the heart of Atlanta.

  • Established in 1995, the year-round Morningside Farmers’ Market is the first and only farmers market in Atlanta that requires all produce to be certified organic. In addition to fruits and vegetables, you’ll find meats, poultry, honey and bread, as well as food vendors and artisanal crafts.

  • The BeltLine’s established Eastside Trail and the interim Northeast Trail provide Morningside with fantastic access to points south, through Old Fourth Ward to Reynoldstown. The massive BeltLine project will eventually connect 45 intown Atlanta neighborhoods with 33 miles of accessible trails for walking, running and biking.
